2. Working Principle
The Automatic Rake Thickener Plant operates as a self-regulating ecosystem where sensors dynamically control mechanical reactions:
Smart Conditioning: Slurry enters the feedwell alongside automated polymer dosing systems that adjust chemical levels in real-time based on incoming flow rate and density.
Dynamic Bed Monitoring: As solids settle into a dense mud bed, high-precision sensors (sonar, optical, or pressure-based) continuously track the bed level and mud density.
Auto-Adaptive Raking: If the mud bed becomes too dense or deep, causing mechanical resistance to rise, the intelligent control system instantly activates a heavy-duty hydraulic or motorized lift. The rake arms are automatically raised to a safer zone with lower resistance and then incrementally lowered as the mud is safely discharged, completely preventing rake-stalling or structural damage.
