Our High-Capacity Iron Ore Drying System is a cutting-edge, industrial-grade thermal solution specifically engineered to handle the heavy demands of the mining and metallurgy sectors. Designed to process massive volumes of high-moisture iron ore concentrates and run-of-mine (ROM) ores, this system significantly reduces moisture content to optimal levels for downstream processing, pelletizing, or shipping. By combining robust structural engineering with advanced thermal efficiency, it ensures continuous, trouble-free operation in the harshest mining environments.
Working Principle
The system utilizes an advanced, high-efficiency rotary drum configuration designed for maximum heat transfer.
Feeding & Material Dispersion: Wet iron ore is continuously fed into the inclined, rotating drum via a heavy-duty charging chute. Internal, custom-designed lifting flights lift the dense ore and shower it evenly across the drum's cross-section.
Thermal Contact: A high-temperature hot air furnace (powered by gas, oil, or pulverized coal) generates a massive volume of thermal energy. As the ore showers through the drum, it comes into direct, co-current or counter-current contact with the hot flue gas.
Moisture Evaporation: This optimal "material curtain" maximizes the heat exchange surface area, rapidly evaporating surface and internal moisture from the iron ore.
Discharge & Dust Collection: The dried iron ore is continuously discharged at the lower end. Simultaneously, the moisture-laden exhaust gas is pulled through a high-capacity multi-cyclone and baghouse dust collection system, ensuring strict compliance with environmental emission standards while recovering valuable iron ore fines.
