1. Equipment Overview
The Log Washer is a heavy-duty industrial washing system explicitly engineered for high-capacity, high-difficulty cleansing operations. Its primary function is to eliminate stubborn clay coatings and harmful contaminants adhering to the surfaces of gravel and mineral ores through aggressive scrubbing action.
The core structure of the equipment features dual parallel, counter-rotating shafts (Log Shafts) equipped with heavy-duty, wear-resistant paddles. By generating intensive "material-to-material" attrition, the system effectively processes feed matrices with high clay content.
To satisfy a production capacity of 100 tons per hour (TPH), the standard matching model is typically the 2RXL914 (with a paddle swing diameter of 914 mm), engineered to deliver up to 100 TPH with a motor rating of approximately 22 kW.
2. Applicable Materials
The Log Washer is predominantly utilized to process materials with severe clay contamination that conventional washing equipment cannot handle. When the feed contains more than 20% clay, this system effectively breaks up insoluble plastic clays, preventing downstream equipment from clogging.

3. Operational Principle
The working principle of the Log Washer can be broken down into the following key sequential stages:
Feeding & Soaking: Raw materials enter alongside water from the lower end (feed end) of the tub. The water serves to lubricate the system and soften the tightly bound clay.
Aggressive Scrubbing: The paddles mounted on the dual parallel shafts rotate in opposite directions, continuously agitating and turning the material matrix. This creates a severe "material-to-material" friction zone while the paddles directly impact and strip away the clay.
Material Conveying: The engineered pitch angle of the paddles progressively advances the material from the lower feed end up to the elevated discharge end.
Slurry Separation & Discharge: The stripped clay remains suspended in the water as a slurry, overflowing through the weir at the lower end of the tub. Meanwhile, the thoroughly scrubbed, clean product is discharged from the upper end.
Feed Size Range: The equipment typically accommodates a maximum feed particle size ranging from 70 mm to 150 mm.
