1.Product Introduction
Bentonite dryers are industrial drying equipment primarily used for processing clay materials such as bentonite and kaolin. As a type of rotary drum dryer, they are widely applied across multiple industries including cement production, mining, building materials, chemical processing, and fertilizer manufacturing.
2.Application
Its applications are extensive, primarily covering the following fields:
Mining and Metallurgy: Used for drying bentonite as a binder in iron ore pellets to enhance pellet strength and smelting efficiency; also suitable for drying other ores, metal concentrates, and tailings.
Construction and Building Materials: In the production of cement, gypsum, lime, and other building materials, dried bentonite serves as an additive to improve material plasticity and stability.
Drilling Mud: Bentonite is a key component of drilling fluids. Drying ensures it provides stable rheological properties and wellbore support during drilling operations.
Chemicals and Environmental Protection: Used for drying bentonite as a catalyst carrier, adsorbent, or in desulfurization processes. Also suitable for drying other chemical raw materials like gypsum and zeolite.
Agriculture and Fertilizers: Dried bentonite serves as a soil conditioner or fertilizer carrier, enhancing soil water retention and nutrient release efficiency.
Pet Products: Used in producing cat litter and other pet bedding materials. Dried bentonite exhibits superior water absorption and clumping properties.
Food and Pharmaceuticals: Under high-purity requirements, vacuum drying or spray drying techniques are employed to produce food-grade or pharmaceutical-grade bentonite for applications such as clarifying agents and antacids.
3.Working Principle
Removing moisture from bentonite through thermal energy stabilizes its properties, facilitates storage, and enables subsequent processing.

Reliable structure and easy maintenance: The equipment employs a spherical contact design for the drag ring and roller ring, significantly reducing wear and power consumption. It also incorporates specialized limiting structures that effectively suppress axial movement during operation, enhancing operational stability and overload resistance to ensure long-term reliable performance.
High adaptability and broad applicability: Suitable not only for bentonite but also for viscous, paste-like, or high-moisture materials such as clay, coal slurry, slag, limestone, etc. Widely used in cement, mining, building materials, chemical, food, and fertilizer industries.
Excellent scalability: The equipment design incorporates production capacity reserves. When production demands increase slightly, there is no need to replace the entire set of equipment. Simply adjusting parameters can meet the increased output, offering high investment flexibility.
