3.Working Principle
The double-roll crusher primarily consists of rollers, support bearings, a compression adjustment mechanism, and a drive unit. Its core operating principle involves two cylindrical rollers rotating in opposite directions. Material is drawn into the crushing chamber formed between the rollers through friction, where it is crushed by compression and shearing forces. The discharge particle size is controlled by adjusting the gap between the two rollers: the wedge device alters the gap size by raising or lowering the wedge block via an adjustment bolt, while the shim device achieves adjustment by adding or removing shims or varying their thickness. When encountering excessively hard or non-crushable objects, the movable roller automatically retreats under spring or hydraulic force, increasing the gap to expel the foreign object and providing overload protection.
