Performance Characteristics of Bucket Wheel Shaft Forgings
Multi-Directional Upsetting & Drawing + Local Material Gathering Composite Forming Process
Adopting a multi-process forming scheme of upsetting, drawing out and shaft journal material gathering with a forging ratio ≥4.5, matched with staged temperature-controlled heating at 1150-1200℃ to control the metal filling volume at the shaft journal. It helps maintain continuous distribution of metal flow lines along the shaft axis, with dense flow lines surrounding the journal area. It can improve internal defects such as porosity, inclusions and folding at the keyway transition zone, with a metal density of over 99.8%.
Customized Heat Treatment Strengthening
The composite process of "overall quenching & tempering + shaft journal surface quenching" is implemented, with an internal stress relief rate of ≥98%. The overall hardness of the shaft body is HB220-260, which helps maintain shaft toughness and reduce fracture risk. The hardness of the shaft journal working surface reaches HRC50-55, which can improve wear resistance, with a fatigue life of ≥10 cycles.
High-Precision Quality Control & Testing
Key dimensional tolerance ≤±0.5mm, shaft journal cylindricity ≤0.1mm, surface roughness Ra≤1.6μm. Through Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), the products meet the Class II requirements of JB/T 5000.15 Heavy mechanical general techniques and standards - Part 15: Non-destructive inspection of forged steel, and can effectively detect defects at stress concentration parts such as shaft journals and keyways.
