Performance Features of Straight Shaft Forgings
High Forging Ratio Axial Directional Drawing
With a forging ratio of ≥3.5, we adopt carbon steel billets produced by electric furnace smelting + ladle refining. Through a multi-pass composite process including directional drawing, local upsetting/necking and shaft shoulder forming, we ensure the metal flow line is continuously distributed along the axial direction, with full cross-section penetration, eliminating core defects such as porosity, blowholes and inclusions. The metal density reaches ≥99.8%, fundamentally improving the bending resistance and fatigue resistance of the shaft.
Exclusive Heat Treatment for Straight Shafts
We customize heat treatment solutions according to different material grades and load requirements: quenching and tempering / normalizing + tempering for 45# steel, normalizing / annealing for Q235B/Q345B steel. For long straight shafts, we adopt horizontal heat treatment + zoned temperature control, with an internal stress elimination rate of ≥98%, avoiding bending deformation, coaxiality out-of-tolerance and fatigue cracking during processing and application.
Precision Straightening and Pre-Machining
We are equipped with special straightening machines for shaft components, CNC lathes and cylindrical grinding machines. After rough machining, the shaft diameter tolerance is ±0.02~±0.05mm, the straightness ≤0.05mm/m, the coaxiality ≤0.03mm/m, and the surface roughness Ra≤3.2μm. We reserve allowance for subsequent grinding, assembly and chamfering, reducing the processing difficulty and reject rate for downstream customers.
