Performance Characteristics of Valve Forgings
Dense Material with Stable Pressure and Temperature Resistance
Made of carbon steel by forging, the products feature dense metal structure and stable mechanical properties. They are suitable for pressure conditions of 0.25~50MPa and temperature range of -29℃~425℃, can withstand high-pressure fluid impact and temperature fluctuation in industrial pipelines, and deliver good operation stability.
Stable Sealing Performance with Controllable Leakage Rate
Valve seats and valve trims adopt precision machining processes, matched with flexible or rigid sealing structures. Combined with the structural integrity brought by the forging process, the sealing surfaces have good fitting accuracy, and the leakage rate meets relevant industry standards. It helps reduce the risk of gas and liquid medium leakage, and supports industrial production safety.
Good Structural Integrity with Stable Service Life
The integral forging process can reduce valve body welds, with good structural integrity and stable impact and vibration resistance, which can reduce the probability of deformation and fracture under long-term use. Under normal maintenance conditions, it has advantages in service life compared with ordinary cast valve bodies, and helps control enterprise replacement costs.
Easy Installation and Maintenance, Suitable for Large-Scale Application
With mature production technology, carbon steel forgings have cost advantages compared with stainless steel and alloy steel forgings, and are suitable for large-scale industrial applications. The valve body has a simple structure design with convenient installation, disassembly and maintenance procedures, which helps shorten downtime for maintenance and ensure production efficiency.
Technical Specifications
Forging Ratio: The forging ratio of carbon steel valve forgings is ≥3, which helps improve internal structure density and reduce defects such as porosity and blowholes.
Dimensional Tolerance: Key dimensional tolerance of forgings is controlled at ±0.5mm~±2mm (subject to nominal diameter). For example, the body diameter tolerance of DN100 forgings is ≤±1mm.
Surface Finish: Sealing surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm, valve stem mating surface roughness Ra≤6.3μm, thread accuracy ≥6H/6g.
Weld End Parameters: Groove angles of butt-weld forgings are α=45°±5° and β=30°±2.5°, which helps ensure welding sealing performance.
Pressure Rating: Conventional carbon steel forgings are suitable for PN0.25~42.0MPa (Class 150~2500), and high-pressure forgings (such as 16Mn material) can adapt to PN32.0MPa high-pressure conditions.
Temperature Range: 20# steel forgings are suitable for -20℃~425℃ conditions; 16Mn forgings can work long-term at -40℃~450℃; modified carbon steel forgings (such as 10MoWVNb) can withstand temperatures up to 500℃.
