Performance Features of Tie Rod Forgings
Directional Drawing + High Forging Ratio Forming
Forging ratio ≥4.0, raw materials are treated by electric furnace smelting + vacuum refining + ladle refining. Multi-pass drawing process is adopted, with metal flow lines continuously distributed along the axial direction of the tie rod. The density of forgings is ≥99.8%, eliminating core porosity, inclusions, pores and other defects, improving the tensile and fatigue resistance of tie rods from the billet stage.
Customized Heat Treatment + Precision Straightening
Implementing dedicated heat treatment for different materials: overall quenching and tempering for alloy steel, solution annealing for stainless steel, normalizing + tempering for carbon steel. After forging, CNC special straightening machines are used for straightening, with internal stress elimination rate ≥98% and tie rod straightness ≤0.05mm/m, avoiding installation deflection and uneven stress problems.
Precision Pre-Machining of Rod Ends
Precision rough machining is carried out on the threaded ends and connecting ends of tie rods, leaving finishing allowances, with surface roughness Ra≤1.6μm and strict control of rod diameter tolerances, adapting to subsequent thread processing and flange connections, reducing post-processing difficulty and improving assembly compatibility.
