Main Functions Introduction
The 8800-1001 (DSS-2) is essentially a "speed monitoring and alarm" device. It determines the equipment speed by receiving frequency signals from a magnetic pickup unit (MPU) and drives relays according to preset values.
Dual-channel control: It has two independent control channels (Channel 1 & 2), each with its own set speed threshold.
Relay output: Equipped with two independent relays, which activate (e.g., cut off the circuit or issue an alarm) when the speed exceeds or falls below the set value.
High-precision digital technology: Compared to traditional analog switches, digital technology ensures the accuracy and long-term stability of the setpoint.
Flexible calibration methods:
Manual calibration: Direct adjustment via onboard potentiometers.
PC calibration: Supports finer parameter configuration via serial port using ACT (Universal Calibration Tool) software (e.g., modifying to a glow plug controller or automatic turning function).
Wide voltage input: Supports 9–30 Vdc DC power supply with reverse polarity protection.
High environmental adaptability: It adopts a fully encapsulated design, is resistant to vibration (4 G's), shock (10 G's), and the shell is flame-retardant and chemically resistant.

This equipment is widely integrated into generator sets, compressors, and various heavy-duty industrial engine systems: A. Engine Safety Protection: Overspeed Protection: When the engine speed abnormally increases above the safety limit, the switch immediately triggers a relay to cut off the fuel supply or ignition system, preventing cylinder explosion. Crank Terminate: After the engine starts and reaches its self-sustaining speed, the power supply to the starter motor is automatically disconnected to prevent damage from the engine's reverse drive. B. Equipment Operating Condition Control: Low/Underspeed Monitoring: Monitors belt drives, compressors, or conveyors. If the speed is too low (indicating blockage or overload), the power is cut off to prevent equipment burnout. Load Control: For example, in a wood shredder, when the engine speed drops due to excessive load, the DSS-2 can temporarily stop feeding and automatically restart when the speed recovers. C. Multifunctional Logic Control: Automatic Crank Control: Configurable to control the engine's automatic starting logic. Glow Plug Control: Used for preheating timing and temperature-linked control before diesel engine start-up.
