The PTFE jacketed syringe is a laboratory tool that achieves constant temperature control through a jacket design and relies on the excellent performance of PTFE to ensure chemical compatibility and sample integrity.

The jacket allows for the circulation of a constant temperature medium, thereby maintaining the sample inside the syringe at a constant temperature. It can also perform efficient heat exchange. The sample is located inside the PTFE core barrel, and its heat is efficiently exchanged with the constant temperature medium in the jacket through the PTFE barrel wall. The continuous flow of the medium inside the jacket ensures that the sample remains at a very stable and uniform set temperature throughout the entire path from the syringe barrel to the needle tip.




Why choose the jacket design:

1. The jacket can maintain the sample at the specific temperature it requires, such as room temperature, low temperature to prevent volatilization, and high temperature to prevent solidification.

2. It overcomes the problems of "local overheating" or "local overcooling" in traditional syringes caused by the ambient temperature, ensuring that the physical and chemical properties of the sample remain consistent during the sampling and injection processes.

3. Prevent sample deterioration: For samples that are volatile, prone to solidification, or sensitive to temperature, the constant temperature environment effectively prevents changes such as evaporation, condensation, crystallization, decomposition, or polymerization caused by temperature fluctuations, ensuring the representativeness of the sample and the accuracy of the analysis results.

4. Operational safety and repeatability: When handling high-temperature or low-temperature samples, the jacket acts as a heat insulator or a thermal insulator, protecting the operator from burns or frostbite, while improving the repeatability and reliability of the experiment.





Performance advantages of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE):

1. PTFE is not corroded by strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidants, and organic solvents. It can safely come into contact with most chemical samples without reacting, leaching, or contaminating the sample, ensuring the purity of the sample.
