Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) square tank with lid and handle (acid tank/square box)
is a laboratory consumable that combines corrosion resistance, high and low temperature stability, high cleanliness, and operational convenience. It is a solution to the three major problems of pollution, corrosion, and safety under harsh experimental conditions, and is a "must-have" equipment in semiconductor manufacturing and cutting-edge scientific research fields.
Performance of PTFE material
1. King of corrosion resistance: It can withstand strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidants, and organic solvents.
2. Good thermal stability: It has a wide operating temperature range, usually between -200℃ and +250℃. It can be used in high-temperature water baths, oil baths, sample heating digestion/soaking, and can also be placed in freezing or ultra-low temperature environments (such as liquid nitrogen) without cracking.
3. Non-stick surface and non-adsorption: It is easy to clean, less likely to leave residual pollution, and has a smooth inner wall that does not adsorb samples, ensuring the accuracy and convenience of experiments.
4. High purity and pollution-free: The material itself is pure and will not precipitate metal ions or other pollutants into the solution. This is crucial for trace analysis (such as ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AA), effectively preventing the container itself from contaminating the samples and ensuring the authenticity of the analysis results.
Structural features of PTFE square tank
· Lid design: Prevents sample evaporation, splashing, and external contamination, and can also hold volatile and pungent liquids.
· Handle design: Facilitates the safe transfer of the square tank filled with high-temperature or dangerous liquids, making the operation safer and more labor-saving.
Main uses of PTFE square tank
1. Holds strong acids, strong alkalis, or organic solvents for soaking and cleaning stubborn contaminants that are difficult to handle (such as photoresist on silicon wafers).
2. Storage and distribution of high-purity reagents: Stores high-purity and high-value acid solutions and reagents to avoid contamination by the container. Serves as a temporary container for holding and taking high-purity reagents.
3. Ultrasonic cleaning: Serves as the inner tank or container of an ultrasonic cleaner, holding corrosive cleaning solutions for cleaning precision components, semiconductor carriers, instrument probes, etc. PTFE itself can transmit ultrasonic waves without affecting the cleaning effect.
4. As a reaction container: Used for small-batch synthesis, mixing, or reaction processes involving highly corrosive chemicals.
5. Micro-sample handling and transfer: Utilizes its non-stick property for handling viscous samples (such as resins and colloids), which can be easily poured out with little residue.
