FCC Mark for Mandatory Certification of Electrical and Electronic Products
FCC Certification Process (for wireless products for example)
Select Certification Lab: Must be on the FCC Accredited Lab list.
Test Items:
Radio Frequency Radiation (RF Exposure)
Spectrum Bandwidth (Bandwidth)
Spurious Emissions (Spurious Emissions)
Submit the report to the TCB organization (Telecommunication Certification Body) for review.
Fourth, common misunderstanding clarification
❌ “FCC only for wireless devices” → All electrical and electronic products need to be certified (no RF go SDoC).
❌ “FCC ID can be self-generated” → must be issued by the TCB agency (format: the first 3 bits of the authorization code, followed by the manufacturer's code).
❌ “FCC certification is permanently valid” → Product modification (e.g., changing chip/circuit design) requires re-certification.
