SRRC Certification
SRRC certification is a mandatory certification requirement imposed by the Radio Regulatory Commission, officially known as the State Radio Regulatory Commission of the People’s Republic of China. All radio component products sold and used within China must obtain approval certification for their radio models. Currently, the Radio Regulatory Commission recognizes the designated SRRC certification body as the SRMC Radio Monitoring Center. Obtaining SRRC certification demonstrates that a product complies with radio regulatory requirements, ensuring its reliability and stability.
What testing is required when applying for SRRC certification? Testing requirements vary by product type. For example, for Bluetooth products, testing includes: equivalent isotropic radiated power, maximum power spectral density, frequency range, occupied bandwidth, carrier frequency tolerance, and spurious emissions; For WCDMA (3G) products, the testing items include: maximum transmit power, vector amplitude error, peak code domain error, frequency error, occupied bandwidth, adjacent channel leakage power ratio, spectrum emission template, minimum output power, uplink loop power, control uplink open-loop power, control transmit on/off time template, transmit off power, transmitter intermodulation, conducted spurious emissions, and radiated spurious emissions.
Which specific products require SRRC certification?
1. Public network mobile communication equipment
Such as: base stations, base station amplifiers, repeaters, repeater stations, mobile phones, communication equipment, terminals, terminal devices, data terminals, NB IoT devices.
2. Wireless access equipment, such as Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, etc.
3. Specialized communication equipment, such as frequency modulation equipment, digital walkie-talkie equipment, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication radio equipment, etc.
4. Broadcasting transmission equipment, such as broadcasting equipment, television equipment.
5. Radar equipment
6. Navigation equipment, such as aviation communication and navigation equipment
7. Satellite communication equipment: satellite earth station radio frequency units (including maritime satellite terminals/Beidou satellite terminals)
Low-power (short-range) radio equipment does not require SRRC certification, such as toy-type 27 MHz and 40 MHz remote-controlled airplanes and remote-controlled cars, which do not need to apply for radio type approval certification. However, compliance with national standards for electric toys, including requirements for toys using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies, must still be ensured.
