Overview
This device is suitable for non-grounded power supply systems (IT systems), capable of monitoring ground faults and measuring system insulation resistance within the voltage range of 0-793V AC and 0-650V DC. It adopts a panel-mounted design, making it easy to install on the fascia of distribution panels, and displays relevant information in plain text for convenient viewing by users.
Functional Features
  • High-Precision Measurement: Utilizes advanced AMP Plus measurement technology and intelligent algorithms to effectively eliminate interference from system leakage capacitance and DC components on insulation monitoring, ensuring the accuracy and stability of insulation resistance measurement.

  • Multiple Alarm Outputs: Provides relay outputs and analog outputs, allowing the setting of two independent alarm thresholds within the range of 1kΩ-10MΩ, and promptly issuing alarms when the insulation resistance value drops below the set value.

  • Intelligent Diagnosis: Equipped with an intelligent diagnosis function, it can automatically analyze the trend of insulation resistance changes and predict potential faults. It can also display the graph of insulation resistance changes over time through the isoGraph function, facilitating users to understand the device's operating status.

  • Convenient Communication: Supports RS485 interface and BMS protocol, facilitating integration with existing power monitoring systems to achieve data sharing and remote monitoring.

  • Flexible Installation: Provides a rail-mounted installation method to adapt to different installation environments, with simple and quick installation. It also has a connection monitoring function to real-time monitor the status of measurement lines.

Working Principle
The insulation monitoring device is connected between the IT system and the protective earth (PE). It monitors the insulation resistance of the IT system by superimposing a measuring current onto the system and then detecting and evaluating the relevant signals in the measuring circuit. When the insulation resistance value drops below the set response value, the device will issue an alarm signal.
Common Faults and Solutions
  • Inaccurate Measurement: May be caused by environmental interference, incorrect wiring, or instrument aging. It is necessary to check the measurement environment to ensure no strong electromagnetic interference; check whether the wiring is correct to ensure the integrity of the measurement circuit; and calibrate the instrument regularly.

  • Alarm Failure: The causes may include incorrect alarm settings, relay failure, or output line problems. It is necessary to check whether the alarm settings are correct to ensure reasonable alarm thresholds; check whether the relay is working normally and replace the relay if necessary; and check whether the output lines are well-connected without short circuits or open circuits.

  • Communication Failure: If communication with the host computer is unsmooth, it may be due to mismatched communication protocols, communication line failures, or incorrect instrument settings. It is necessary to confirm whether the communication protocols match and upgrade the software if necessary; check whether the communication lines are well-connected without open circuits or short circuits; and check whether the instrument's communication settings are correct to ensure consistent communication parameters.

  • Power Failure: The abnormal operation of the instrument may be caused by unstable power supply voltage, power line failures, or internal power module failures of the instrument. It is possible to check whether the power supply voltage is stable to ensure it is within the working range of the instrument; check whether the power lines are well-connected without open circuits or short circuits; and if the internal power module of the instrument fails, contact the manufacturer for maintenance or replacement.
