Baosteel B18R075 High Magnetic Inductance Low Loss Oriented Silicon Steel For Transformer High Efficiency and Energy Saving
I. Products
Baosteel B18R075 is a laser-indentation oriented electrical steel product independently developed by Baosteel, belonging to the R series of magnetic domain refinement-type high-efficiency silicon steel family, designed to meet the needs of high-efficiency and low-carbon power equipment. The product optimises grain orientation and refines the magnetic domain structure through laser scribing technology, significantly reducing hysteresis and eddy current losses, with the iron loss value of P1.7/50 (loss per unit mass under magnetic polarisation strength of 1.7T and frequency of 50Hz) reaching the international leading level, which is about 10%-15% lower than that of traditional products. With a nominal thickness of 0.18mm and a width range of 980-1200mm, the surface is coated with a highly insulating coating (Class E and above), which combines corrosion resistance and interlayer resistance stability, making it suitable for high-precision processing.
B18R075 has a magnetic polarisation strength (J800) of over 1.90T and low magnetostriction, which effectively reduces the noise of the equipment and meets the stringent requirements of energy saving and environmental protection in the power industry. As an important member of Baosteel's ‘Beyond ECO’ low-carbon silicon steel brand, this product adopts a green production process and reduces carbon emissions by more than 30 per cent over the whole life cycle compared with conventional products, which is in line with the global trend of low-carbon transition.
II. Main uses
With its high performance, B18R075 is widely used in the following fields:
1,Energy-efficient transformers: designed for Class 1 energy-efficient distribution transformers, complying with GB20052-2013 standard, it can significantly reduce no-load loss and load loss. For example, the energy efficiency of transformers made of B18R075 is increased by 5%-8% compared with ordinary products, and the annual operating energy consumption is greatly reduced, which helps to achieve the power grid upgrade under the goal of ‘double carbon’.
2,Extra-high voltage power transmission equipment: Used in the manufacture of extra-high voltage AC and DC transformer cores to ensure the stable operation of major national projects such as ‘West-East Power Transmission’ and to improve the efficiency and reliability of power transmission. Its low-loss characteristics can reduce the energy loss in long-distance transmission.
3, new energy equipment: suitable for wind power, photovoltaic inverter and new energy vehicle drive motors, through low loss characteristics to improve the energy conversion efficiency, to support the development of renewable energy grid and electrification.
4, low noise power equipment: low magnetostrictive properties make it an ideal material for data centres, hospitals and other quiet sensitive scenes, equipment operation noise can be reduced by 3-5 dB.
III. Storage and maintenance
To ensure stable performance and long service life of B18R075, the following storage specifications should be strictly observed:
1, Environmental control:
Humidity: the relative humidity of the storage environment should be ≤60%, to avoid humidity triggering coating peeling or rusting; long-term storage is recommended to use vacuum packaging or anti-rust oil protection.
Temperature: the appropriate temperature is 10°C-30°C, to avoid high temperatures leading to magnetic performance degradation or coating aging.
2, physical protection:
Steel coils need to be placed horizontally on special pallets, stacking height of no more than 3 layers, to prevent deformation; cut edge materials need to avoid mechanical collision, burr height should be ≤ 0.02mm.
Use nylon sling when transporting, prohibit wire rope from directly touching the surface of steel coil to prevent scratching the insulation layer.
3, Pre-processing treatment:
Processing equipment needs to be clean and free of impurities, and debris should be cleaned up in time after stamping to prevent oxidation;
The internal stress needs to be controlled when shearing and slitting to avoid the deviation of shearing edge more than 1mm.
IV. Payment modalities
Only support T/T payment, the implementation of the FOB standard, the first to determine the variety and grade of silicon steel, sign the contract prepayment of 40%, in the delivery period the goods ready to send to the designated domestic port (such as Tianjin Port), after settlement of the final payment, the goods loaded on the ship.
