EN 15102 CE Certification - Product Scope:
EN 15102 is a standard for wallpaper and similar decorative materials in roll form. The standard mainly regulates decorative materials that are suspended from interior walls, partitions or ceilings by adhesives, ensuring that they meet relevant regulations in terms of decorativeness, installation requirements and basic performance.

EN 15102 CE Certification - Test Items:
The test items involved in the CE certification of EN 15102 decorative wall coverings include fire performance tests and physical properties:
Evaluation is carried out according to EN13501-1, with a minimum requirement of E grade, which is a necessary fire protection item for certification;
Heavy metal release test, tested and evaluated according to EN12149;
Formaldehyde release test, tested and evaluated according to EN12149; VCM release test, tested and evaluated according to EN12149;
Thermal conductivity test (if insulation application is required);
Sound absorption test (if sound insulation application is required).
Notes on the conversion of the flooring industry to EN 15102 certification:
For the flooring industry to convert to ceiling film materials, EN 15102 certification is usually required. The reason is that ceiling film materials and wallpapers are similar in use, installation requirements and basic performance. For example, ceiling film materials used for ceiling decoration and wallpaper used for wall decoration both need to meet certain decorative requirements, such as stability and consistency in color, pattern, etc.
The EN 15102 standard has clear provisions and test methods for these characteristics of roll wallpaper, and the converted ceiling film materials must also ensure that they meet the relevant standards in terms of decorative performance.
In terms of installation requirements, both need to be installed on the wall or ceiling in a specific way. The EN 15102 standard may involve installation requirements and performance testing for wallpaper. The converted ceiling film materials also need to ensure that they can be firmly attached to the ceiling after installation and will not fall off easily or have installation problems.
In terms of basic performance, basic performance requirements such as fire resistance and release of hazardous substances are common to decorative materials used in indoor environments. The EN 15102 standard may include provisions for wallpaper in these aspects. The converted ceiling film materials also need to meet the corresponding safety and environmental standards to ensure the health and safety of users.
