Product Description
The Price AA-type flowmeter is available in both analog and digital models, both of which provide fast and accurate measurements except at very low flow rates. Depending on the selected contact connection method, the analog model emits a clicking sound once per revolution or once every five revolutions. In the digital models, a slotted hub extension rotates between a light-emitting diode (LED) and a phototransistor. The pulses generated when the slots align with the LED and phototransistor are transmitted to the digital flow indicator (Model 1100), which converts them into a direct digital reading of the water flow velocity. Both models can be suspended from a bridge or boat using a suspension cable assembly with a lead weight; they can also be mounted on a wading pole for measurements in shallow streams, ditches, pipes, or wastewater systems.
