Steel Pipe & Tube & Galvanized Steel Pipe,Q195、Q215、Q235B、Q355B
1. Product Introduction
Galvanized Steel Pipe is anti‑corrosion round steel pipe made from ERW welded steel pipe substrate processed by hot‑dip galvanizing. The mainstream product is Hot‑Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, also known as Galvanized Welded Pipe. It is widely applied in fire‑fighting water supply, low‑pressure fluid transportation, steel‑structure supports, greenhouses, municipal pipelines and cable protection projects. A uniform and dense zinc‑iron alloy protective layer is formed on both inner and outer walls with strong adhesion and excellent rust‑resistance. Service life for outdoor and buried working conditions is greatly extended compared with black welded pipe. Products are available in standard weight and extra‑heavy weight grades. Pipe ends can be plain, threaded or grooved. Zinc coating is even without missing plating, nodulation or peeling. Good weldability allows threaded connection and grooved coupling connection. Mass supply and non‑standard customization are available complying with GB, ASTM, EN and BS standards for overseas export orders.
2. Material Grades
- Ordinary Carbon Steel (Mainstream): Q195, Q215, Q235B. Good ductility and weldability with high cost‑performance, general substrate for water supply, fire‑fighting, greenhouse and scaffolding Galvanized Steel Pipe.
‑ High‑Strength Low‑Alloy Steel: Q355B, higher mechanical strength for heavy‑load supports, buried pipelines and harsh‑conditionHot‑Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe.
‑ Overseas Equivalent Grades: ASTM A53‑A, A53‑B; EN S235JR, S355JR; BS1387, meeting overseas project acceptance requirements.

5. Process & Surface Treatment
Manufacturing process for Galvanized Welded Pipe: steel strip uncoiling → high‑frequency ERW welding → fixed‑length cutting → pipe pre‑treatment & pickling → flux treatment → hot‑dip galvanizing → cooling & passivation → pipe‑end finishing → inspection → packing & warehousing. Hot‑Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe is fully immersed in molten zinc liquid to form zinc‑iron alloy layer both inside and outside with firm bonding. Deep processing service includes threading, grooving, beveling and custom cutting. Each pipe undergoes visual inspection; each batch passes coating weight, bending, flattening and hydrostatic pressure test. Mill test certificates are provided; third‑party inspection by SGS/BV is acceptable.
6. Product Advantages
Excellent Anti‑Corrosion Performance: Hot‑Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe obtains full‑body hot‑dip zinc coating. Dense zinc‑alloy layer isolates moisture and air, resisting outdoor open‑air, buried and mild salt‑fog corrosion to extend service life.
Stable Mechanical Performance: ERW welded substrate with reliable weld seam, good pressure‑bearing capacity, qualified flattening & bending test, suitable for low‑pressure fluid transportation and steel‑structure load‑bearing.
Flexible Connection Options: Galvanized Steel Pipe supports threaded joint, grooved coupling and flange connection, convenient on‑site installation for fire‑fighting and water‑supply piping systems.
Complete Sizes & Stable Supply: sufficient stock for standard and extra‑heavy grades, threading and grooving processing available for both fluid piping and structural supports.
Cost‑Effective & Wide Application: Lower cost compared with stainless steel pipe, better anti‑rust performance than painted black steel pipe, widely used in civil, municipal, agricultural and industrial projects.
Traceable Export‑Grade Quality: Complete Mill Test Certificate(MTC) supplied per batch. EN10204‑3.1/3.2 certificates available. Third‑party supervision and inspection are acceptable for overseas customs clearance.
7. Application Scope
- Fire‑Fighting Engineering: Fire sprinkler and hydrant piping systems, large‑volume adoption of extra‑heavy‑grade Hot‑Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe.
‑ Water Supply & Drainage: Building low‑pressure water supply, tap‑water pipelines, municipal and community water‑supply networks.
‑ Agricultural Facilities: Greenhouse frames, farm irrigation pipelines, livestock breeding fences using Galvanized Steel Pipe.
‑ Steel‑Structure & Scaffolding: Construction scaffolding, support posts, guardrails and steel‑structure frames with Galvanized Welded Pipe.
‑ Electrical Conduit: Building cable protection sleeves with fire‑retardant, anti‑rust and aging‑resistant features.
‑ Municipal Works: Municipal low‑pressure gas pipelines, pipe supports, street‑lamp bases and traffic‑protection frames.
‑ Other Applications: Factory low‑pressure process pipelines, buried pipelines and projects under mild coastal corrosive environment.
8. Lead Time, Packing & Shipping Documents
- Lead Time: 7‑10 working days for regular stock Galvanized Steel Pipe; 12‑18 working days for threaded, grooved, extra‑heavy and non‑standard processed products.
‑ Packing: Bundled with steel straps, both ends protected by plastic caps. Export‑order bundles are reinforced, wrapped by waterproof plastic film and loaded on fumigated wooden pallets for container ocean shipment to avoid collision and coating scratch.
‑ Shipping Documents: Mill Test Certificate(MTC), hydrostatic & mechanical test reports, zinc‑coating inspection reports; EN10204‑3.1/3.2 certificates and certificate of origin available; SGS/BV third‑party inspection documents can be provided.
9. Order Note
Custom Galvanized Steel Pipe, Hot‑Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, Galvanized Welded Pipe are available according to drawings and technical requirements. Please specify nominal diameter / outer diameter, wall‑weight grade (standard / extra‑heavy), material, execution standard, pipe‑end type (plain / threaded / grooved) and fixed length. Deep‑processing including threading, grooving, beveling and cutting are supported. Both small and bulk orders are accepted for domestic projects and overseas export procurement.
10. Notes
Application selection: Extra‑heavy‑grade Hot‑Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe is recommended for fire‑fighting and pressure piping; standard‑wall pipe can be used for ventilation, supports and greenhouses. Never substitute thin‑wall pipe for pressure‑bearing pipelines.
2. After welding Galvanized Steel Pipe, zinc coating at weld seam is damaged. Anti‑corrosion zinc repair must be applied on weld and heat‑affected zone after welding to prevent preferential rusting at weld joints.
3. Distinguish hot‑dip galvanizing from electro‑galvanizing. Electro‑galvanized pipe with thin coating shall not be adopted for buried or open‑air projects; hot‑dip galvanized products shall be selected.
4. Avoid violent screwing during threaded installation to prevent damage to threads and galvanized surface. Sealing and anti‑rust treatment shall be completed at threaded joints.
5. Standard, material, diameter, wall‑weight grade and pipe‑end processing must be clearly specified in orders; no automatic technical upgrade.
6. Pipes shall be stacked with elevation and good ventilation, kept rain‑proof and moisture‑proof; avoid long‑term open‑air exposure. Prevent sharp‑object impact and scratch to zinc coating during lifting and handling. Repair anti‑rust coating timely where zinc layer is damaged.
