The MFF oil‑mist separator adopts coalescence‑separation technology as its core to remove oil mist contained in oil fume. Combining impurity filtration and oil‑mist separation functions, the equipment can efficiently eliminate particulate impurities, atomized oil mist and water vapor from flue‑gas. It applies multi‑stage filtering technology including primary centrifugal rough separation, impact‑based secondary separation and coalescence separation. Designed exclusively for lubrication systems, the device can effectively get rid of oil mist and water vapor inside the oil tank to avoid secondary environmental pollution, drastically cut lubricant consumption and keep zero pressure inside the oil tank when the blower stops accidentally.

Working Principle

The coalescing‑separation filter cartridge is assembled from multiple imported materials with distinct performances. At present, Maite purchases coalescing filter media from world‑famous manufacturers such as Lydall, HV and SINOMA‑NBO to guarantee stable working performance. Different filter materials own unique filter gaps, surface‑tension features as well as lipophilic‑hydrophilic and oleophobic‑hydrophobic polarity. The combination of diverse filter materials realizes screening, coalescence and separation so as to secure excellent separating capacity.

  1. ScreeningBesides oil fume, oil mist contains various solid particles. Solid contaminants will weaken coalescing‑separation effects and shorten the service life of filter cartridges. A deep‑prefilter layer is arranged before the coalescing layer of Maite filter cartridges. Flue‑gas after deep‑depth filtration flows through the coalescing‑separation cartridge, greatly prolonging filter‑element service life.

  2. CoalescenceOil droplets complete coalescence relying on medium surface tension. The multi‑layer wound coalescing layer consists of 3‑4 kinds of filter materials. Specially‑designed air passages facilitate the transformation from tiny oil mist into large‑size oil droplets. Integrated with core Pall technology, Maite coalescing‑separation cartridges feature large handling capacity and strong coalescing capability. They can run for a long time under severe oil‑mist‑saturated working conditions and possess prominent advantages over traditional sintered and felt‑type filter materials.

  3. SeparationFlue‑gas passing through the coalescing cartridge enters the separation layer. Driven by airflow, large oil droplets move forward and collide with the separation layer owing to lipophilic‑oleophobic polarity. Large oil droplets finally settle down to the bottom of the container under gravity.

  4. Oil DischargeOil collected by the oil‑mist separator stays clean for direct reuse. An oil‑return pipeline is equipped to convey recovered lubricant back into the oil tank. A dedicated drainage pipeline is installed and extends below the low‑liquid‑level line.

Filter cartridge selection is essential for high‑efficiency operation, long‑term durability, purified exhaust gas and extended service lifespan. Our filter cartridges comply with FRANKE‑Filter standards. High‑end components MFK‑032‑39.4 and MFK‑674‑39.4 achieve 2‑5‑year service life. The filtering efficiency reaches 99.99%, and residual oil particulate concentration of filtered‑out gas is less than 5 mg/m³, satisfying nearly all environmental‑protection requirements.

Filter Cartridge Replacement

The filter cartridge needs replacing once its microfiber medium is fully saturated with impurities and lubricant particles. The vacuum pressure gauge on the filtering system reminds operators of cartridge‑replacement timing. Cartridge replacement is fast and convenient. After several‑minute replacement work, the oil‑mist separator can resume operation, maintaining stable vacuum degree and stable lubricant quality.
