This plate‑and‑frame oil purifier is a movable assembly composed of filter bed, oil transfer pump and other components.
The filter‑bed is a continuously‑operated side‑inlet pressure‑type filter. Contaminated oil is pumped into the filter unit, which consists of alternately‑arranged filter plates and filter frames, alongside a manual screw‑tightening mechanism and pressure‑plate assembly. Filter plates and frames are supported on the rack bracket via side lugs. Filter‑paper or filter‑cloth sandwiched between plates and frames acts as the filter medium.Two fluid‑passage holes are arranged at matching positions on plates and frames. Once tightly compressed, two complete oil‑flow passages are formed. Polluted oil enters through the passage beside triangular‑shaped lugs. After being filtered inside filter chambers, clean‑oil flows out from the outlet passage on the side with fan‑shaped lugs.
During filtration, contaminated‑oil is distributed into every filter frame via the inlet channel. Impurities are trapped by filter‑paper, and purified oil converges in the outlet channel and discharges out of the machine. Solid contaminants accumulate on the filter‑paper surface, and trace moisture inside oil is absorbed by capillary action of the filter medium.Filter‑resistance rises as filter‑cake thickens and water‑absorption reaches saturation. Operation shall be suspended once the pressure hits 0.2‑0.35 MPa. Replace filter‑paper before resuming filtration.
An elastic rubber cushion connects the gear pump and motor for vibration‑buffering. A safety‑valve is fitted beneath the oil‑pump to prevent over‑pressure‑induced mechanical failure. The valve is preset to the maximum rated pressure before delivery. End‑users are permitted to lower the trigger‑pressure, yet adjustment above the factory‑set pressure limit is forbidden.
Gear pump and motor are mounted underneath the filter assembly. Pumped‑out oil flows through delivery pipes and the pressure‑plate passage into the filter‑bed. Gear shafts are supported by rolling bearings, which are self‑lubricated by the circulating pumped‑oil. The residual‑oil return valve can be opened to drain leftover oil inside the unit and avoid oil overflow.
