CIP cleaning system (cleaning in place), commonly known as the on-site cleaning system, abbreviated as CIP. (Food processing machinery manufacturers Tel: 150*0646-5106)

In-place cleaning refers to the process of using high temperatures and a certain concentration of cleaning solution without disassembling or moving the equipment to thoroughly clean the inner surfaces of production equipment, such as the contact surfaces with food and other materials, including material conveying systems, pump cavities, valve bodies, tank interiors, and heat exchangers.

The mechanism of action of CIP cleaning involves the chemical energy primarily generated by the chemical reagents used. This is the “primary factor” that determines the cleaning effectiveness. Manufacturers generally choose cleaning agents based on the type and extent of contamination of the cleaning object, the material composition, water quality, the chosen cleaning method, costs, and safety considerations. Commonly used cleaning agents include acid-, base-based, and sterilizing agents.

Acid washing (using a 1-2% solution of nitric acid) can effectively remove calcium salts and mineral oils and other residues through chemical reactions:

Alkaline washing (1% to 3% sodium hydroxide) can effectively remove residual fats and proteins through a saponification reaction.

The sterilizing detergent (chlorine-based sanitizer) is effective against all microorganisms. After dilution, it is generally non-toxic and forms a film on equipment surfaces, which can eliminate unpleasant odors.

Under a given flow rate, as the temperature increases, the viscosity coefficient decreases. An increase in temperature typically alters the physical state of the contaminants, accelerates chemical reaction rates, and simultaneously increases their solubility, making it easier for impurity solutions to detach during cleaning, thereby enhancing the cleaning efficacy and shortening the cleaning time.

Juices, beverages, dairy products, soy milk, oral solutions, canned goods, alcoholic beverages, and more.

Classification of CIP Cleaning Machines:

1. There are two main types based on their structure: integrated and separate units.

2. There are two types of heating methods: electric heating and steam heating (heating using tube-type heat exchangers and plate-type heat exchangers).

3. There are three types of control methods: manual control, semi-automatic control, and fully automatic control.

4. Common capacities: 500 to 5000 L.

CIP Cleaning Machine Operation Procedure:

40°C clean water → 1 solution of alkali → 40°C clean water → acid solution → –90°C clean water. These processes can also be performed individually, such as acid washing, alkali washing, and hot water rinsing.
