Boiler plate is a kind of medium and heavy steel plate specially used for manufacturing boilers and pressure vessels. It can withstand long-term high temperature, high pressure and alternating loads, featuring outstanding high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, good weldability, high toughness and excellent fatigue resistance. Our main products include Carbon Steel Boiler Plate, Low Alloy Boiler Plate and High Pressure Boiler Plate. With pure material, qualified flaw detection and stable performance, our products are widely applied in power station boilers, industrial boilers, pressure vessels, petrochemical industry, nuclear power equipment and other fields. 1. Core Material Grades

All boiler plates are produced via electric furnace melting, LF refining and VD vacuum degassing process, featuring extremely low impurity content and dense internal structure with 100% qualified flaw detection. Complete material certificates and ultrasonic testing reports can be provided. The mainstream material grades are listed as follows:

  • Q245R: Carbon steel boiler plate, yield strength ≥245MPa, maximum service temperature ≤450℃. It has balanced toughness and weldability with high cost performance, suitable for low-pressure boilers, ordinary pressure vessels, oil storage tanks and other conventional working conditions.

  • Q345R: Low alloy high-strength boiler plate, yield strength ≥345MPa, tensile strength 510–640MPa. It delivers excellent fatigue resistance and impact resistance, ideal for medium-pressure boilers, heat exchangers and reaction kettles, and serves as the mainstream material for industrial boilers.

  • Q370R: High-strength low alloy boiler plate, yield strength ≥370MPa. It owns excellent medium-temperature strength and deformation resistance, applied to heavy-load scenarios such as drums of high-pressure boilers and thick-wall pressure vessels.

  • 15CrMoR: Chromium-molybdenum alloy high pressure boiler plate. It can operate stably at a high temperature up to 550℃ for a long time with good creep resistance and temper brittleness resistance. It is used for superheaters, main steam pipelines and high-temperature reactors of power station boilers.

  • 13MnNiMoR: Special thick high-pressure boiler plate reinforced by manganese-nickel-molybdenum alloy. It has excellent hardenability and uniform performance even for thick plates, applicable to ultra-high pressure boilers, large nuclear power pressure equipment and heavy-duty reactors.

  • Export Special Grades: ASTM A516 Gr60/70, SA515 Gr70, EN P265GH/P355GH, JIS SB410. Fully compliant with European, American and Japanese international standards, specially supplied for overseas boiler and pressure vessel projects.

2. Product Classification & Process Characteristics

2.1 Carbon Steel Boiler Plate

Main grades include Q245R and 20G, delivered in hot rolled or normalized condition. The product has smooth surface without interlayers or cracks. It is low-cost, easy to weld and high in toughness, suitable for conventional boilers and pressure vessels under relatively low temperature and pressure. It is the most widely used basic type of Carbon Steel Boiler Plate.

2.2 Low Alloy Boiler Plate

Main grades are Q345R and Q370R. Alloy elements such as manganese, niobium and vanadium are added, and the products are processed by controlled rolling and normalizing to realize grain refinement and uniform structure. Featuring high strength, stable medium-temperature performance and great fatigue resistance, this Low Alloy Boiler Plate adapts to medium and high pressure boilers, large storage tanks, heat exchange equipment and other heavy-load working conditions.

2.3 High Pressure Boiler Plate

This category covers 15CrMoR, 12Cr2Mo1R, 13MnNiMoR and other grades. Produced by vacuum refining and quenching & tempering treatment, the plates have ultra-low internal impurities and high flaw detection grade. With superior high temperature resistance, creep resistance, stable performance under high pressure and good low-temperature toughness, High Pressure Boiler Plate is specially designed for high-end working conditions including power station boilers, nuclear power equipment and high-temperature & high-pressure reactors.

  • Domestic Standard: GB 713-2014 Steel Plates for Boilers and Pressure Vessels

  • Dimension & Weight Standard: GB/T 709, regulating dimensional tolerance of thickness, width, length and theoretical weight calculation

  • Heat Treatment: Hot rolling, normalizing, controlled rolling, normalizing & tempering, quenching & tempering (customized according to material and plate thickness)

  • International Standards: ASTM A516/A515, EN 10028, JIS G3115, meeting acceptance requirements for overseas projects and foreign trade export.

8. Packaging, Transportation & Delivery Cycle

8.1 Packaging Method

Boiler plates are bundled with high-strength steel strips, equipped with anti-slip mats at the bottom and waterproof film on the outer layer. Anti-collision corners are installed on edges to prevent moisture, rust, collision and deformation. The package is suitable for long-distance land transportation and ocean shipping. Custom shipping marks, labels and export packaging standards are acceptable to guarantee intact delivery.

8.2 Delivery Cycle

  • Standard In-stock Items: Q245R/Q345R plates (6–50mm) are in sufficient stock. Shipment within 3–5 working days after payment confirmation.

  • Regular Custom Processing: Fixed-length cutting, punching, bending, beveling and flaw detection, delivery within 5–10 working days.

  • High-pressure Alloy Plates: 15CrMoR, 13MnNiMoR and other grades, production and shipment within 10–15 working days.

  • Extra-thick Plate & Special Flaw Detection: Plates over 80mm, Z35 performance and Grade Ⅰ flaw detection, delivery within 15–20 working days.

9. Notes

  • Boiler plate is special material for pressure-bearing equipment. Over-temperature and over-pressure operation are strictly prohibited. Please use the products in accordance with design conditions and relevant specifications.

  • Store the plates in dry, ventilated and corrosion-free indoor areas. Place supports at the bottom for moisture proof, and avoid outdoor exposure to rain and sunshine to prevent rust.

  • Preheating is required before cutting and welding for plates over 40mm. Stress relief treatment shall be conducted after welding to avoid cold cracks and deformation.

  • Use special lifting tools during hoisting. Do not bind steel wire ropes directly on the plate surface to prevent scratches, deformation and edge damage.

  • Select proper material and flaw detection grade according to actual working conditions. Prioritize materials with qualified low-temperature impact property for low-temperature environments, and confirm Z-direction performance for thick plates.
