1. Product Overview
Checkered Plate, also named Tread Plate or Diamond Plate, is manufactured by hot rolling embossing to form 3D raised patterns on steel surface. Main substrates include carbon structural steel and low alloy steel. It integrates anti-slip, wear-resistant, load-bearing and decorative features, widely used for industrial platforms, ships and anti-slip walkways in construction.
Production Process: Steel Slab Heating → Hot Rolling → Pattern Embossing → Cooling & Straightening → Edge Cutting & Fixed Length → Inspection & Marking → Bundling & Shipment

3.2 Dimensional Tolerance
Thickness tolerance: ±0.3mm for plate ≤3mm; ±0.4–0.6mm for plate over 3mm. Width, length, flatness and camber comply with international export standards. Uniform pattern height, no incomplete or collapsed embossments.

8. Packaging, Marking & Delivery Terms
Seaworthy Export Packaging: Steel plates separated by wooden skids, tightly bundled with steel strips, edge iron protectors equipped. Anti-rust oil coated, fully waterproof to avoid scratch and rust during ocean transit.
Plate Marking: Each plate spray printed with grade, thickness, pattern type, dimension, heat number and standard; Mill Test Certificate attached for each batch.
Lead Time: 5–7 days for regular stock; 7–12 days for customized galvanized plate or plate over 12mm.
Logistics & Shipment: Loading at Tianjin Port, full truck or 40HC container delivery, FOB / CFR / CIF trade terms acceptable.
9. Storage & Operation Precautions
Warehouse must be dry and ventilated; cover with waterproof tarpaulin for outdoor storage to avoid rain rust, which weakens anti-slip and welding performance.
Stack horizontally with wooden skids between layers to prevent pattern scratch from direct friction.
Calculate machining allowance before cutting & bending, avoid cracking under excessive extrusion on embossed areas.
Select galvanized checkered plate for long-term service in damp or coastal areas.
Clean anti-rust oil and oxide scale before welding to guarantee tight welds without pores.
