1. Product Overview
Steel sheet piles are hot-rolled or cold-formed carbon steel structural profiles with interlocking clutches on edges. The clutches interlock tightly to form continuous impermeable retaining and water-stop walls. Two main categories are hot-rolled steel sheet piles and cold-formed steel sheet piles, including U-section (Larsen pile), Z-section and straight-web section. With high section stiffness, they are widely applied for foundation shoring, cofferdams, flood control, land reclamation, underground pipe gallery support and other geotechnical, marine and hydraulic projects. The products feature high overall rigidity, excellent clutch water tightness, and can be pulled out and reused repeatedly.

2.1 Q235B, SY295 Ordinary Carbon Steel Sheet Piles
Working condition: Shallow foundation pit support, inland river revetment, simple temporary cofferdams, short-term temporary earth retaining
Performance: Cost-effective, good weldability and piling machinability, meet bearing requirements of conventional shallow soil support
Mechanical index: Yield strength ≥235MPa
2.2 Q355B, SY390, S355GP Low Alloy High Strength Sheet Piles (Mainstream Grade)
Working condition: Deep foundation pits, deep water dock cofferdams, river flood walls, coastal land reclamation, long-term permanent retaining structures
Performance: High yield strength, strong section bending stiffness, excellent resistance to soil lateral pressure and marine corrosion substrate, suitable for heavy load, deep water and long-term service conditions
Mechanical index: Yield strength ≥355MPa
2.3 Q390, Q420, SY430 Extra High Strength Sheet Piles
Working condition: Ultra-deep foundation pits, large deep water docks, heavy-duty permanent port revetments, complex geotechnical projects with high lateral pressure
Performance: Ultra-high yield strength, reduce pile consumption significantly, applicable for hard stratum piling construction

3.1 By Production Technology
Hot Rolled Steel Sheet PilesThickness 10–24mm, clutches integrally hot rolled, tight interlock, anti-tearing and superior water stop effect; Models PU22, PU28, PU32, PU40, PZ28, PZ35, PZ40, suitable for deep water and deep pit permanent projects
Cold Formed Steel Sheet PilesThickness 6–14mm, continuously cold bent from steel strips with lower cost and flexible fixed lengths; relatively weak clutch strength, mostly used for shallow temporary support
3.2 Main Section Shapes
U-section (Larsen Pile): Most widely used type, high lateral stiffness and excellent clutch water tightness, universal for shallow & deep foundation pits
Z-section: Symmetrical flanges, superior torsion resistance and large section modulus per single pile, first choice for large docks and deep water cofferdams
Straight Web Section: Flat narrow clutches, specially used for narrow trenches and small ditch support

5.1 Hot Rolled Sheet Pile Process
Steel slab refining → High temperature segmented heating rolling → Integrated clutch forming rolling → Cooling & straightening → Quenching & tempering heat treatment (high strength grades) → Cut to fixed length → Clutch precision calibration → Full dimensional & visual inspection → Mark spraying & packing
5.2 Cold Formed Sheet Pile Process
Uncoil hot rolled steel strip → Pickling to remove oxide scale → Multi-pass continuous roll bending forming → Online length cutting → Clutch shaping → Finished product inspection & packing
6. Mandatory Factory Inspection Items
Spectral composition analysis: Strictly limit C, Mn, S, P impurities and control carbon equivalent to guarantee weldability
Mechanical performance test: Room-temperature tensile test, 180° cold bending test, low temperature impact test (for marine engineering)
Full section dimension inspection: Thickness, effective width, section height, clutch shape and interlock clearance
Visual inspection: Free of cracks, scabs, lamination, deformed clutches and distortion defects
Third-party witness inspection (for export orders): Complete standard test reports provided
