1. Product Overview
Deformed steel rebar, full name hot rolled ribbed steel bar, is the core load-bearing steel for reinforced concrete structures. Its surface is equipped with two longitudinal ribs and evenly distributed transverse crescent ribs. The ribs greatly enhance bonding force with concrete to prevent sliding under load and improve the overall seismic resistance and bearing capacity of buildings. Produced by hot rolling low-alloy killed steel billets, rebar features high yield strength, excellent elongation, stable weldability and cold bending performance. Widely applied in residential buildings, high-rises, bridges, tunnels, infrastructure, water conservancy projects and factory concrete structures.

2.1 HRB400 / HRB400E (Most Popular Grade, E stands for seismic resistance)

Application: Ordinary residential buildings, factories, municipal roads, low-rise frames, conventional bridges; HRB400E for seismic fortification buildings, schools, hospitals, high-rises and seismic zone projects
Performance: Balanced strength, toughness and weldability with optimal cost performance, widely used in domestic infrastructure
2.2 HRB500 / HRB500E High Strength Seismic Rebar
Mechanical index: Yield strength ≥500MPa, Tensile strength ≥630MPa, Elongation ≥15%
Application: Super high-rise buildings, long-span bridges, heavy-duty factories, large dams, subway tunnels, heavy-duty pile foundations
Performance: High yield strength reduces steel consumption under identical load, lower self-weight and total project cost; HRB500E meets high-intensity seismic design requirements
2.3 HRB335 Ordinary Grade Rebar
Mechanical index: Yield strength ≥335MPa, Tensile strength ≥455MPa
Application: Low-rise civil buildings, small structures, secondary non-load-bearing components
Performance: Good ductility and easy welding, mainly used for simple small-scale projects
2.4 HRBF400 / HRBF500 Fine Grain Rebar
Performance: Refined grain structure with superior low-temperature toughness and anti-aging property
Application: Buildings and bridge projects in cold northern regions

4. Complete Production Process
Steelmaking Refining: Converter + LF secondary refining furnace, strictly limit S & P impurities, add trace Nb/V alloy elements to upgrade strength and toughness
Continuous Casting Slab: Continuous casting of qualified rectangular slabs, surface grinding to remove subcutaneous defects
High-temperature Heating: Uniform heating to 1100–1250℃ for full austenitization
Multi-pass Continuous Rolling: Rough, intermediate and finish rolling to form standard crescent ribs simultaneously
Online Water Cooling: Thermo-mechanical controlled cooling to stabilize metallographic structure and raise yield strength
Natural cooling on cooling bed, straightening and cutting to fixed lengths
Batch physical & chemical mechanical inspection, full visual inspection, marking and bundling for warehousing
5. Mandatory Factory Inspection Items
Spectral composition test: Strict control of carbon equivalent, S, P, Mn, Si and trace alloy elements
Tensile mechanical test: Yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, total elongation at maximum force (mandatory index for seismic rebar)
Cold bending / reverse bending test: No cracks or lamination after 180° bending; reverse bending test required for seismic grades
Dimensional inspection: Random check of nominal diameter, rib height, rib spacing and theoretical weight
Full surface visual inspection: Free of cracks, scabs, peeling, scratches and excessive rust
