C2800 Introduction
Brass is a specific term that refers to a variety of copper-zinc alloys having properties that include electrical and thermal
conductivity, strength, hardness, wear-resistance, ductility and corrosion-resistance.
Brasses are available in a wide range of colors such as yellow, red, silver and gold etc. These colored brasses are used by
designers and architects to improve the inside and outside appearances of buildings.
UNS C28000 alloys are a type of brass alloys.
C2800 Brass Plate Introduction
Brass plates are non-ferrous metal sheets made by rolling a copper-zinc alloy as the base material. They are commonly used in industry with materials such as H62, H65, and HPb59. The material code is BR and they are divided into hot-rolled and cold-rolled types. The product surface is smooth and flat, with high dimensional accuracy, dense internal structure, no air holes, sand holes, or layering defects. The overall hardness is moderate, with excellent plasticity, allowing for cutting, bending, stamping, drilling processing, and suitable for various precision processing needs of hardware. Copper plates have excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, with stable resistance and low electromagnetic interference. They are resistant to mild corrosion from air and moisture, do not rust or oxidize easily, and the surface can be polished, passivated to prevent oxidation, enhancing the appearance texture and service life. At the same time, they have excellent wear resistance, with a smooth cutting surface, no chipping or burrs, and good welding and riveting performance. The product specifications are complete, and customization of thickness, length, and width is supported. They are widely used in electrical wiring, mechanical gaskets, plumbing accessories, instrument housings, and tooling hardware, and are suitable for forging and turning processing. The processing loss is low, the qualified rate of the finished product is high, and they are commonly used basic non-ferrous metal materials in industrial manufacturing.

C2800 Brass Plate Product processing
1.Component melting: Mix copper and zinc raw materials according to the specifications of H62, HPb59, etc., and melt them at high temperature to mix and remove metal impurities and gases. Adjust the mixture to reach the standard of brass molten liquid to ensure the purity of the material.
2. Casting block formation: Pour and cool the melted copper liquid to form brass casting blocks. Consolidate the internal structure, avoid air holes and loose defects, and ensure the strength of the sheet base material.
3. Hot rolling rough processing: Heat the casting block and perform high-temperature rolling. Repeatedly stretch and shape to press it into a basic thick plate, improving the metal toughness and eliminating internal stress.
4. Cold rolling fine processing: Perform secondary rolling at room temperature, precisely control the thickness and flatness of the sheet, improve the surface smoothness, reduce size tolerances, and enhance the sheet accuracy.
5. Straightening and cutting: Correct the flatness of the sheet, remove burrs at the edges, cut according to the specifications in length and width, smooth the surface, and prevent deformation and cracking.
6. Surface treatment + quality inspection: Clean and remove oil, perform passivation for oxidation resistance, prevent the sheet surface from blackening; test hardness, size, and appearance, and select qualified products for storage.
