S304 Introduction
Type 304L is a low-carbon version of 304 stainless steel. It is used for heavy-duty components to improve weldability. Some products, such as steel plates and pipes, may be "dual-certified" materials, meeting both 304 and 304L standards. 304 stainless steel exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of environments and when exposed to different corrosive media. In environments containing chlorides, pitting and crevice corrosion may occur. Stress corrosion cracking can occur at temperatures exceeding 60°C. 304 stainless steel has good oxidation resistance in intermittent use, withstanding temperatures up to 870°C, and 925°C in continuous use. However, continuous use at 425-860°C is not recommended if water corrosion resistance is required. In such cases, 304L is recommended due to its resistance to carbide deposition. For applications requiring high strength at temperatures exceeding 500°C, up to 800°C, grade 304H is recommended. This material will retain its water corrosion resistance.
S304 Stainless Steel Hollow Ball Introduction
The stainless steel hollow Ball is a metal pipe with a hollow circular cross-section. The mainstream materials are divided into 304 and 316 types. It is produced through cold rolling and bright drawing processes, with smooth inner and outer walls without burrs, uniform wall thickness, and high dimensional accuracy. The pipe material possesses the core characteristics of stainless steel, being resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, rust prevention, oxidation resistance, high temperature and low temperature resistance, high mechanical strength, excellent pressure-bearing performance, and being less prone to deformation and cracking. The specifications are diverse, with outer diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several hundred millimeters, and wall thicknesses can be customized as needed. It is divided into two types: precision instrument small pipes and industrial thick-walled pipes. The 304 type has a high cost-performance ratio and is mostly used in water supply and drainage, decoration, and general fluid pipelines; the 316 type contains molybdenum elements and has stronger resistance to salt fog and chemical corrosion, suitable for harsh working conditions such as petroleum, hydraulic, instrument needle valves, and marine equipment. The processing adaptability is strong. It can be bent, welded, turned, and assembled with sleeve fittings. It is commonly used to make fluid transportation pipelines, instrument valve bodies, mechanical structural components, and heat exchange pipes. The surface is mostly polished and brushed, with high cleanliness and no impurities, meeting hygiene standards for food, hydraulic, and pharmaceutical industries. Its service life is much longer than that of ordinary carbon steel and copper pipes, and it is the core material for industrial precision pipelines and corrosion-resistant structural components.

1.Raw material preparation
Select 304/316 stainless steel solid round billets. Inspect the material composition and ensure there are no cracks or sand holes on the surface. Cut the billets to the desired length, remove the burrs and oxide scale from the ends, and perform pre-treatment for perforation.
2. Hot perforation forming
After the billets are heated at high temperature, they are sent to the perforation unit. Through oblique rolling perforation, hollow rough tubes are formed, obtaining the basic hollow round shape; the wall thickness deviation of the rough tubes is large and the surface is severely oxidized, and they are only semi-finished products.
3. Cold drawing / Cold rolling finishing (core process)
The rough tubes are acid-washed to remove the oxide scale, and lubricating coatings are applied. Through multiple passes of cold drawing or cold rolling, the outer diameter is gradually reduced and the wall thickness is controlled; repeated rolling ensures smooth inner and outer walls and meets the dimensional tolerance requirements, achieving the precision bright tube accuracy.
4. Solution annealing and bright annealing
After cold processing, the pipe materials have internal stress. They are placed in a vacuum bright annealing furnace for high-temperature heat treatment to eliminate work hardening and restore metal toughness; the entire process is isolated from air to prevent the pipe from blackening and maintain a mirror-like / wire-wrapped bright surface.
5. Precision straightening and cutting
The annealed pipe materials are corrected for bending by the straightening machine, then cut to the customer's specified length, with both ends having flat flanges and burrs removed to ensure the pipe ends are flat and without deformation.
6. Cleaning, flaw detection, and inspection
Ultrasonic flaw detection is used to check for internal cracks and uneven wall thickness in the pipe walls; water pressure / air pressure tests are conducted to verify the pressure-bearing capacity; degreasing and cleaning remove oil stains, and the outer diameter, wall thickness, and surface finish are inspected after drying.
7. Identification, packaging, and storageQualified pipe materials are printed with material, specification, furnace batch number labels, wrapped with protective films, classified and bundled, packaged for moisture protection, and then stored and shipped.
