C276 Introduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The ickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.
Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability. HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

C276 Forging Technology Threaded Cap Introduction
Forged threaded pipe caps are end sealing components for pipes, manufactured through the forging process. Their main function is to cover and seal the pipe ports, achieving fluid cutoff, sealing, or protecting the pipe end threads. They are key components of the pipeline system.
Core features:
1.High-strength and reliable: The forging process makes the metal fibers continuous, with excellent tensile and compressive properties, suitable for complex working conditions ranging from -40℃ to 600℃.
2. Self-locking seal: The threaded tightening generates a huge axial force, providing a tight seal and being.
3. Strong adaptability： The nominal diameter covers DN15-DN2000, and the materials include 304/316L stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel, suitable for multiple media such as water, steam, and petroleum.
4. Convenient installation: High manufacturing accuracy and compact size, making it more efficient than welding pipe fittings.
5. Classification and processes：By thread type: single head, double head, conical head; by head shape: round head, elliptical head， disc-shaped head； by material： stainless steel (corrosion-resistant)， carbon steel (high strength)， alloy steel (high temperature resistance). The production process includes 16 procedures such as forging， heat treatment， thread turning， non-destructive testing， and surface treatment， ensuring an tensile strength of ≥520MPa and salt spray corrosion resistance of over 5000 hours.
Application scenarios:It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, municipal services, medicine, power, fire protection, and metallurgy, and is a core component for pipeline sealing and maintenance.

1. Raw material pre-treatment: High-quality steels such as 304/316L stainless steel, 15CrMo alloy steel, and carbon steel are selected. After acid washing, oil removal, and flaw detection, surface defects are eliminated to ensure the purity and basic performance of the raw materials meet the standards. 2. Forging Process: The pre-treated steel is heated to 1100-1200℃ (adjusting according to material type). Through free forging or die forging techniques, the steel billet is forged into the basic blank of the pipe cap. This process enables the continuous distribution of metal fibers, significantly enhancing the tensile strength and pressure resistance of the product. 3. Heat treatment strengthening: The raw material undergoes a dual heat treatment process of quenching (rapid cooling to increase hardness) and tempering (eliminating internal stress and adjusting toughness), resulting in a tensile strength of ≥ 520 MPa. This also enables the product to adapt to temperature fluctuations ranging from -40℃ to 600℃, preventing brittle cracking at low temperatures or deformation at high temperatures. 4. Precision thread turning: Using a CNC lathe, the rough port is precisely turned to create single-head, double-head or conical head threads. The tolerance is controlled within ±0.02mm, ensuring a perfect fit with the pipeline interface. When tightened, it generates uniform axial force, achieving a tight seal. 5. Non-destructive Testing: Through three non-destructive testing methods - X-ray flaw detection, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle testing - we can identify internal defects such as pores, inclusions, and cracks in the raw materials. The testing pass rate exceeds 99.8%, eliminating potential safety hazards. 6. Surface treatment: Depending on the requirements, choose polishing (to enhance appearance and corrosion resistance), electroplating (galvanizing/nickel plating to improve rust prevention ability) or passivation treatment (specific for stainless steel, forming a dense oxide film). Some products need to pass a 5000-hour salt spray test to ensure no rusting over a long period. 7. Final inspection and packaging: The final inspection includes checking the dimensional accuracy, thread compatibility, and pressure resistance (no leakage under 1.5 times the working pressure). Qualified products are packaged for rust prevention and then stored in the warehouse. The production data can be traced throughout the process.
