C276 Introduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The ickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.
Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability. HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

C276 Forging Threaded Straight or Reducing Haxagonal Nipple Introduction
Forged threaded straight type / Reduced hexagonal threaded joints are precision connectors used for small-diameter pipes (typically with a nominal diameter of ≤ NPS2). They are manufactured through a high-temperature forging process, with the metal's internal grain structure being dense. Compared to cast joints, they offer higher structural strength, fatigue resistance, and pressure tolerance, and can withstand harsh conditions such as deep-sea drilling, chemical production, and power transmission (e.g., in offshore drilling, chemical plants, and power transmission systems). Among them, the forged threaded straight type joints are used for connecting the two ends of pipeline straight sections, available in internal thread, external thread, and combined models to suit different layouts; the reduced hexagonal threaded joints are considered as reducers, achieving pipe diameter changes by reducing the size of the hexagonal connection end, and can adjust the pipe diameter or adapt to special interfaces. Some also have a "reduced hexagonal sleeve" transitional function. The mainstream materials include Q235 carbon steel, A105 alloy steel, 304/316 stainless steel, brass, etc., suitable for different corrosion and pressure requirements. The threads mostly follow ASME B1.20.1, MSS SP-83, etc. standards. Some adopt NPTF, RCMSS high-pressure thread designs, and can achieve zero leakage with sealants or Teflon tape. Their core advantages are high sealing performance (precise thread matching + forged dense structure to prevent leakage), long lifespan and low maintenance (resistant to corrosion, vibration, and low operating costs), strong adaptability (supporting multiple national standards such as GB, HG, ASME, etc., and can be customized non-standardly), and are widely used in fields requiring high sealing and stability, such as oil extraction, chemical production, fire protection systems, industrial cooling water systems, and low-pressure fluid transportation.

1.Raw material pre-treatment: Select qualified billets such as Q235 carbon steel, A105 alloy steel, 304/316 stainless steel, etc. After cutting, deburring, and flaw detection, ensure there are no cracks, inclusions, etc. and that the dimensional tolerances meet the requirements before forging.
2. Heating and forging: Send the billets to the medium-frequency induction heating furnace and heat them to 1150℃ - 1250℃ (adjust according to the material), making the metal reach the austenite state and enhancing plasticity; then transfer them to the forging equipment (such as free forging hammer, die forging press), through multiple passes of upsetting, drawing, and forming processes, initially forming a straight joint shape or reducing the hexagonal contour, while refining the grains and eliminating internal pores.
3. Thread processing: Process the semi-finished products after forging through rough turning and fine turning according to ASME B1.20.1, MSS SP-83, etc. to machine internal/external threads. Some high-pressure joints use rolling technology to improve thread accuracy and surface hardness; for the non-conforming sections of the reduced hexagonal joints, they need to be processed separately by turning or milling to ensure the tolerance of the transition section ≤ ±0.05mm.
4. Heat treatment for strengthening: Select quenching + tempering (alloy steel), solution treatment (stainless steel), or stress relief annealing (carbon steel) according to the material to eliminate internal forging stresses, enhance the tensile strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance of the joint, and control the final hardness at HRC25-35 (carbon steel/alloy steel) or HB150-200 (stainless steel).
5. Finishing and inspection: Perform deburring, chamfering, and full-size inspection of the finished products (thread gauge, external/inner diameter micrometer), conduct water pressure tests (1.5 times working pressure, hold pressure for 30 minutes without leakage), ultrasonic flaw detection (detect internal forging defects), and mark qualified products for storage, and repair or scrap unqualified products.
