Log Washer Complete Washing Plant
log washer complete washing plant
1. Product Introduction
A Log Washer Complete Washing Plant is a fully integrated, multi-stage wet processing system engineered to transform highly contaminated, clay-bound raw minerals and aggregates into clean, premium-grade products. Rather than supplying isolated machinery, this system comprises a comprehensive processing circuit. It perfectly synchronizes a series of operations including heavy-duty feeding, pre-screening, aggressive log-washer scrubbing, downstream sand washing, multi-deck classification, dewatering, and closed-loop water purification. Every complete plant is customized by our engineers to provide a seamless, highly efficient flow that maximizes material recovery while minimizing operational costs.
2. Applications
The complete washing plant is the definitive solution for large-scale operations where simple rinsing or single-stage washing cannot achieve the required product purity:
Mining & Metallurgical Plants: High-capacity processing of primary crushed iron ore, manganese, bauxite, copper, and gold-bearing gravels to strip away dense clay matrices prior to downstream enrichment or smelting.
Commercial Quarry & Aggregate Production: Upgrading heavily silted quarry rock, ballast, limestone, and river gravel into premium, spec-compliant concrete aggregates and asphalt sands for infrastructure projects.
C&D Waste Recycling & Soil Remediation: Washing complex construction and demolition waste or contaminated industrial soils to separate clean, reusable stone and sand from mud, silt, and lightweight debris.
3. Working Principle
The complete washing plant utilizes a structured, continuous system layout where material and water move through a synchronized multi-stage circuit:
[Raw Material Feed]
⬇
[Vibrating Scalping Screen] ➔ (Oversize / Clean Bypassed Rocks)
⬇
[Log Washer Heavy Scrubbing] ➔ (Intense Material Attrition)
⬇
[Dewatering & Sizing Screen] ➔ [Clean Coarse & Fine Aggregate Discharge]
⬇ (Clayey Slurry Overflow)
[Hydrocyclones & Water Clarifier] 🔄 (Up to 90% Water Recycled Back to System)
Stage 1: Feeding & Pre-Screening: Raw material is fed into a heavy-duty hopper. A vibrating grizzly feeder or scalping screen separates the oversized boulders (protecting the system) and bypasses materials that do not require intense washing.
Stage 2: Core Log Washer Scrubbing: The remaining clay-bound material enters the lower end of the inclined dual-shaft log washer. Dual massive steel shafts lined with alternating alloy paddles rotate counter-directionally. The blades continuously cut and chop through tough mud balls, forcing the rocks to grind against each other (material-on-material attrition), stripping away stubborn clay jackets.
Stage 3: Downstream Classification & Dewatering: The scrubbed material is discharged onto a multi-deck dewatering screen. High-pressure spray bars give the aggregates a final rinse while separating them into precise product sizes. The dissolved clay and muddy water float backward through the log washer weir as an overflow slurry.
Stage 4: Water Clarification & Fines Recovery: The muddy overflow slurry is pumped to a hydrocyclone system to catch fine sand, while the muddy water is directed into a water clarification thickener. Reagents accelerate settling, allowing up to 85%–90% of the process water to be immediately recycled back into the plant.
4. Key Advantages of the Complete Plant Solution
Elimination of Production Bottlenecks: Every component—from conveyor belt speeds and screen deck vibrations to pump capacities and log washer retention times—is engineered to work in perfect synchronization, ensuring consistent, maximum throughput.
Turnkey Engineering & Modular Design: The entire system utilizes heavy-duty modular steel framing. This structural approach minimizes complex civil foundation work, drastically reduces on-site welding, and shortens installation and commissioning times.
Eco-Friendly Closed-Loop Operation: Thanks to integrated water thickeners and fines recovery units, the plant operates with extremely low fresh-water consumption and completely eliminates the need for expansive, environmentally hazardous tailings ponds.
Advanced PLC Centralized Automation: The entire washing plant is wired into a central control room featuring an intuitive PLC touch-screen interface. Operators can monitor motor loads, water pressures, and safety sensors across the entire line in real-time, reducing labor requirements to a single operator.
Maximization of Profit & Product Value: By separating fine sands, recovering clean aggregates, and converting low-value, clay-heavy waste deposits into premium, spec-compliant product streams, the plant guarantees a rapid and substantial return on investment (ROI).
