C276 Introduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and
nickel-based alloys. The nickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.
Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.
HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

Introduction
Socket Weld Coupling
A socket welding coupling is a type of high-pressure pipe fitting used to join two pipes together. It is a small device designedto
connect two pipes of the same size and material by welding.
The socket welding coupling consists of one end socket and the other end ordinary. The socket end is to fit into the end of the
pipe, while the ordinary end is used to connect to another pipe. The coupling is welded to the pipe using a socket welding
technique, which involves heating the pipe and connecting it to a specific temperature, and then welding them together.
One of the main advantages of using socket-welded couplings is that it provide a strong and leak-proof connection between pipes.
The welding process produces a tight seal that prevents leakage of any fluid or gas. This makes socket-welded joints ideal for
high pressure and high-temperature applications where safe connections are necessary. Socket welding couplings are commonly used
in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation.

Forging Socket Welding Coupling Processing
1. Raw Material Preparation:Select high-quality steel strip or wire
rod; shear and slit the material to the required width and thickness according to product specifications.
2. Stamping and Forming: Utilize a punch press to perform operations
on the steel strip—such as punching holes (e.g., the perforations found on American-style hose clamps), grooving, and
cutting—before cold-pressing or roll-forming the material using molds into semi-circular or annular blanks.
3. Welding (for Assembled Models):Spot-weld or full-weld the clamp
body to components such as nut housings, lugs, or pins to assemble the complete structural unit.
4. Heat Treatment:Subject the parts to heat treatment processes—such
as quenching—to refine the internal metal structure and enhance the clamp's hardness, elasticity, and tensile strength.
5. Surface Treatment:Perform degreasing, cleaning, and deburring
(polishing), followed by surface treatments such as electro-galvanizing, mechanical plating, or phosphating to bolster rust
and corrosion resistance.
6. Assembly and Quality Inspection:Assemble fastening screws or latch
components; conduct torque testing, compression testing, and visual inspections; once verified as meeting quality standards,
package the finished products for warehousing.
