C276 Introduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The nickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.
Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.
HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

C276 Butt Welding Lap Joint Stub End Introduction
Stub end is a type of pipe fitting, the pipe fitting has a stub or a piece of pipe with an outward flare on one side. It is usually used in conjunction with lap joint flanges for connection in pipeline systems. Stub end can be divided into long pattern and short pattern according to their different shape. Stub is a ideal choice to replace butt welded flange when the pipeline requires flexible installation and disassembly.
The types of Stub End
Stub end can be divided into long pattern and short pattern according to their different shape.
1. Long pattern stub end: Compared with the pipe that it is connected, long pattern stub end has a longer length. This design makes it easy to alignment and welding for lap joint flange. It is suitable for applications where frequent disassembly is required.
2. Short pattern stub end: The length of short pattern stub end is similar to the pipe that it is connected. It is usually used
for slip-on flanges. The short pattern stub end is suitable for applications where space is limited, and the flange needs to be close to the end of the pipe.
Applications of Stub End
Stub end is designed to be welded to the pipe or lap joint flange, providing a secure and leak-proof joint. Stub end usually acts as a sleeve that slips over the pipe or lap joint flange. This unique design makes it easy to disassembly of the joint when needed.

C276 Butt Welding Lap Joint Stub End Processing
1. Use a flanging pup mold for pressing. The mold includes an upper mold and a lower mold. The angle between the upper mold core and the mold frame is at right angles. The lower mold includes a lower template, a pup support, a mold plate, and an adjustment plate. The pup support is in the shape of a boss, and a groove is set around the mold plate. The adjustment plate is used to adjust the height of the pup support.
2. After secondary pressing, a right angle is formed, and position E is corrected to make it close to a vertical angle.
3. Then use a lathe to process it into shape.
The use of this mold can greatly improve the quality and production efficiency of the flanged pup joint, and at the same time reduce the process, because the produced flanged pup joint no longer needs to be repaired at E. In addition, when changing the length of the flanging nipple, only one set of molds is needed, and there is no need to prepare multiple sets of molds.
