The inclined tube sedimentation tank is a high-efficiency solid-liquid separation device designed based on the "shallow tank theory". By densely installing honeycomb-shaped inclined tube bundles (usually with an inclination angle of 60°) in the sedimentation area, it transforms the originally deeper sedimentation area into numerous tiny shallow sedimentation units. This device is widely used in municipal sewage, industrial wastewater (such as electroplating, sand washing, and dyeing) and tap water purification. It can greatly shorten the sedimentation distance of particles and significantly improve the sedimentation efficiency. It is a key pre-treatment unit to ensure the stable operation of subsequent processes and the compliance of the effluent.

Efficient separation based on the shallow tank theory: The inside of the device is filled with densely packed inclined tubes made of ethylene-propylene copolymer or PP material, which divides the water flow into thin layers. Suspended particles only need to settle a very short distance (the vertical height of the inclined tube) to touch the tube wall and slide down to the bottom sludge hopper. The sedimentation path is greatly shortened, and the surface load can reach 3 - 5 times that of the traditional horizontal flow sedimentation tank.
Laminar flow state optimizes hydraulic conditions: The water flow forms a stable laminar flow state in the inclined pipes, which greatly reduces the interference of turbulence on the sedimentation of flocs. Combined with the coagulant (such as PAC/PAM) added at the front end, it can efficiently capture and remove the alum flocs formed in the water. The removal rate of SS (suspended solids) usually reaches 85% - 95%.
Sludge concentration and automatic discharge: The sludge settled at the bottom is initially concentrated by gravity in the sludge hopper. The device can be equipped with pneumatic or electric sludge discharge valves to realize timed automatic sludge discharge, preventing the sludge from accumulating, decaying and floating; high-quality devices are also equipped with a backwashing system to regularly clean the biofilm and impurities attached to the surface of the inclined tubes, effectively preventing blockage.
Modular design and flexible installation: The main body of the device is made of carbon steel with anti-corrosion treatment, fiberglass or 304 stainless steel, with a compact structure. It supports above-ground or buried installation and can be flexibly customized according to the on-site space limitations and the treatment capacity (5 - 500 tons per day), greatly saving the civil engineering cost and floor area.
