Performance Features of Tong Arm Forgings
Multi-Directional Open-Die Forging with Temperature Control
Adopting an upsetting-drawing composite process with a forging ratio ≥5, combined with staged temperature-controlled heating at 1180-1220℃, the metal flow lines are continuously distributed along the force direction of the tong arm, eliminating internal porosity and inclusion defects. The metal density reaches over 99.7%, preventing fracture and deformation under heavy clamping loads.
Customized Heat Treatment & Surface Enhancement
Implementing the "overall quenching and tempering + high-frequency quenching of key parts" process, the internal stress relief rate is ≥95%, and the hardness of the jaw and load-bearing surfaces reaches HRC50-58. Optional phosphating and shot peening treatments improve wear and corrosion resistance, extending service life.
High-Precision Forming Control
The tolerance of key mating parts is ≤±0.05mm, and the surface roughness Ra≤3.2μm. Full inspection via ultrasonic testing (UT) and magnetic particle testing (MT) complies with Grade II standards, ensuring no hidden quality issues such as cracks for smooth operation after assembly.
