C276 Inroduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The nickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.
HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.
Pipe Nipple Introduction
The pipe nipple is a short pipe with external threads (male threads), on both ends or one end, used to connect two pipes or fittings. Threaded pipe nipples can have NPT or BSP threads, making them widely used in plumbing and fluid transfer systems.Common types include stainless steel pipe nipples, black pipe nipples, and galvanized pipe nipples.Because fitted or threaded pipes come in long stretches that have threads pre-cut on the ends, sometimes they don't reach the right distance for a run of pipe. In these situations, plumbers use a pipe nipple which has pipe thread on both ends of the pipe to connect it to the fixture and the supply line. In essence, a nipple is a short piece of pipe, typically under a foot in length, to make these connections.

1. Raw Material Acceptance and Cutting: Verify the material and specifications of the round steel bars, and cut them to length according to the finished product length with a machining allowance to obtain qualified bar blanks.
2. End Roughing and Chamfering: Perform end face smoothing and preliminary chamfering on both ends of the bar blanks to remove burrs and facilitate subsequent clamping and machining.
3. External Diameter Finishing: Use a CNC lathe to finish the external diameter dimensions, ensuring that the workpiece's outer diameter tolerance and surface roughness meet the drawing requirements.
4. Thread Rolling/Tailoring: Use thread rolling or turning processes to machine single-start or double-start threads, strictly controlling the tooth profile, pitch, and thread accuracy.
5. Cutting and Trimming to Fixed Length: Cut and separate the workpiece according to the required specifications, and trim burrs and sharp edges to ensure uniform length dimensions.
6. Heat Treatment and Tempering: Perform tempering or quenching treatment according to material requirements to eliminate machining stress and improve overall mechanical strength.
7. Non-destructive surface inspection: Detection of hidden defects such as cracks and inclusions on the thread and body surface using methods such as penetrant testing and magnetic particle inspection.
8. Surface rust prevention treatment: Applying rust prevention processes such as galvanizing, blackening, or oiling to improve the corrosion resistance of threaded short parts.
9. Final inspection, sorting, and marking: Verifying all dimensions and appearance quality; marking qualified products with batch numbers before categorizing and warehousing.
