             Ytterbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet crystal (abbreviated as Yb:YAG crystal, chemical formula: Yb:Y₃Al₅O₁₂) is an ideal gain medium for high-power compact solid-state lasers. Diode-pumped lasers utilizing Yb:YAG crystal have reached an average output power of the kilowatt level.

In recent years, driven by the application demands for ultrashort, ultrafast, high-repetition-rate and high-energy lasers, researchers have developed diversified crystal configurations beyond the traditional rod structure, such as slab, strip and disk shapes. The market requires increasingly larger sizes of Yb:YAG laser crystal materials, especially serving as the core gain medium for high-power solid-state lasers.

Nanjing Colourful Optoelectronic Technology provides slab and bulk Yb:YAG crystals with different doping concentrations, with maximum dimensions up to 70×70×20 mm³. By adopting a special feeding method, gradient concentration growth of slab crystals can be realized.
