Honeywell Otex Oil-Water Interface Meter
I. Core Functional Features
The Honeywell Otex Oil-Water Interface Meter (model prefix HERMetic UTImeter Otex), authorized and distributed by Xiamen Jielian Instrument & Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., is a portable open metering device specifically designed for liquid level measurement in oil and chemical storage tanks. Its core functions include:
· Integrated multi-parameter measurement: One operation can complete ullage measurement (distance from the top of the storage tank to the liquid surface), temperature measurement (real-time liquid temperature), oil-water interface detection (position of the oil-water stratification). The Visc type also supports actual height measurement (distance from the liquid surface to the tank bottom), meeting the needs of trade handover and inventory control.
· Sensor protection and convenience: It is equipped with a special sensor protection device to prevent the probe from being damaged when it contacts the tank bottom. The battery (9V alkaline battery) can be easily replaced, with a battery life of about 400 hours. The tape cleaning device, display window wiper, etc. are standard accessories.
· Calibration-free design: The sensor is pre-calibrated before leaving the factory. The parameters of the temperature probe (RTD element) are stored in the sensor chip. There is no need to recalibrate when replacing the sensor or the tape, reducing maintenance costs.

2. Open Measurement Scenarios: It needs to be operated at the open metering port and is suitable for non-explosion-proof or low-risk environments (such as refined oil depots and non-hazardous chemical storage tanks).
3. Monitoring of High-Viscosity Media: The Visc type can be used for liquid level measurement of viscous liquids such as asphalt and heavy oil. The weighted probe ensures the accuracy of contacting the liquid surface.
