The screw vacuum pump is a vacuum pumping device that utilizes a pair of screws rotating synchronously and in opposite directions at high speed within the pump casing to achieve suction and exhaust functions. It is an updated and upgraded product of the oil-sealed vacuum pump and can be used in gas situations containing a large amount of water vapor and a small amount of dust. It has been widely applied in domestic enterprises such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, semiconductors, etc., which have high requirements for clean vacuum.
The structure of the screw vacuum pump: The drive shaft connects the driving rotor, and the synchronous gears drive the driven rotor to rotate. Cooling water channels are opened on the casing to cool the rotor and the exhaust port temperature. The synchronous gears and bearings are lubricated with oil, and the bearings and the interior of the casing are sealed with sealing pieces to achieve an oil-free effect. The dry screw vacuum pump is structurally similar to the oil-free screw compressor in terms of sealing and lubrication. Generally, a mechanical seal is used at the exhaust end of the vacuum pump, and a double lip seal is usually used at the intake side. In terms of the transmission method, the common one is direct connection to the motor, and the rotor is connected to the drive shaft through a coupling. Very few use belts or transmission chains for transmission. The constant pitch screw pump has no internal compression process, and the exhaust temperature is very high. If the cooling effect is poor, the rotor and the casing will deform, affecting the pumping effect. Cooling the casing is an indispensable step. Water cooling is the most common method. Cooling water is supplied to the casing body and the outer side of the bearings, which can achieve the purpose of cooling the casing and thereby cooling the rotor.
Advantages of Screw Vacuum Pump: Compared with other types of vacuum pumps, screw vacuum pumps have significant advantages in terms of energy consumption, maintenance costs, and service life. They have lower energy consumption, which can save operating costs; the maintenance is simple, reducing downtime; and the service life is long, lowering the frequency of equipment replacement. Main applications: Screw vacuum pumps are widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, electronics, and metallurgy. In chemical production, they are used in processes such as vacuum distillation and vacuum crystallization; in the pharmaceutical industry, they are used for vacuum drying and packaging of drugs; in the food industry, screw vacuum pumps provide power support for vacuum freezing drying and vacuum packaging.
