The working principle of the KY-PGT pressure thermometer is based on the relationship between the saturated vapor pressure of an evaporative liquid and temperature within a sealed temperature measurement system. When the temperature bulb senses a temperature change, the saturated vapor inside the sealed system generates a corresponding pressure, causing curvature variation in the elastic element and displacement at its free end. This displacement is then converted into an indication value by an amplifying mechanism.
This type of thermometer features a compact temperature bulb, rapid response, high sensitivity, and clear readability, combining nearly all the advantages of glass-stem thermometers, bimetal thermometers, and gas-pressure thermometers. It can be manufactured as shockproof and corrosion-resistant models.
It is widely suitable for measuring the temperature of various corrosive or non-corrosive media in industrial settings. For corrosive media, a corrosion-resistant model should be selected. Pressure thermometers are extensively used for temperature measurement and control in machinery, light textile, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The corrosion-resistant pressure thermometer is made entirely of stainless steel, making it suitable for measuring the temperature of neutral corrosive liquids and gases.
