Transparent liquid silicone rubber (usually a cured silicone rubber, with platinum as the catalyst) is an ideal material for manufacturing high-precision jewelry molds due to its high transparency, low shrinkage rate, excellent detail replication ability, and chemical resistance. Jewelry molds need to precisely reproduce the fine textures of jewelry (such as engraved patterns, hollowing out, gemstone inlay slots, etc.), and the molds themselves must be transparent to facilitate observing the casting process. The manufacturing process must strictly control bubbles, transparency, and precision.
Curing conditions:
Room temperature curing: Leave at room temperature for 24 hours (humidity ≤ 60%, high humidity may cause water mist on the surface of the silicone rubber);
Heated accelerated curing: If you need to shorten the time, you can place it in an oven and set the temperature at 50℃ (temperature ≤ 60℃, high temperature may cause slight yellowing of the silicone rubber). The curing time is shortened to 3-4 hours (pre-test: Take a small amount of the cured silicone rubber and observe its transparency. No yellowing is considered qualified).
