Signal Connection

Input signals can be categorized into ground-referenced signals and floating signals. Before connecting thermocouples or other signals, confirm their type:

For floating signals, connect the negative channel input to the chassis ground or use the clamping resistor on the SCXI-1303 terminal block.
Do not re-ground already ground-referenced signals, as this may create ground loops and affect measurement accuracy.
The input protection circuit of each channel can withstand voltages up to ±42VAC peak or VDC; exceeding this range may damage the module, SCXI bus, and DAQ devices.
