SS254 SMO Pipe is one such pipe that is considered as a high austenitic grade. It has a strength that is 3 times the stainless steel 300 series. SMO SS254 pipe efficiently resists pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking.
SS254 SMO Seamless Pipe is usually used as replacements in components that are critical. Where various other grades fail due to pitting and chloride stress corrosion cracking. These SS254 SMO Stainless Steel Pipes are said to be cost efficient and technically adequate that allows the value of the design to be 50% higher when compared to other austenitic stainless steels. Thus the thin walls save cost to a greater extent. SS254 SMO pipes are often known as high end austenitic steel. It is easy to fabricate and weld these pipes and tubes. It is suitable for use in seawater and brackish water
