German technical background Volcker VOK ®- Disper 174 Wetting Dispersant
VOK ®- Disper 174 is a wetting and dispersing agent for solvent based coil coatings and industrial coatings.
Suitable for acid catalysis and acid curing paint systems. It is especially recommended for the production of high concentration pigment concentrate slurry.

Features and Benefits
The additive can deflocculate the pigment by stabilizing the steric hindrance. Because the particle size of the deflocculating pigment is small, it can obtain high gloss and enhance color strength. In addition, the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque pigments are also improved. Due to the reduction of viscosity, the flowability is improved and the content of pigment can be increased.
Recommended use
VOK ®- Disper 174 is recommended for industrial coatings, especially for coil coatings. In addition to stabilizing the dispersion of pigments, it can also reduce the viscosity of the abrasive, so that the formulation design of the concentrated slurry of high concentration pigments can be easily realized.
Recommended dosage
Additive dosage (purchase form) is based on pigment:
Titanium dioxide: 3-5%
Inorganic pigment: 10-15%
Organic pigment: 35-60%
Carbon black: 70-100%
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage shall be determined through a series of tests
Adding method and processing guidance
In order to obtain good performance, additives must be added to the grinding material first, and then the pigment.
