VOK ®- Disper 2050 is a wetting and dispersing agent for solvent based coatings and pigment concentrates. It is especially suitable for pigment concentrate without resin.

Features and Benefits
The additive can deflocculate the pigment by stabilizing the steric hindrance, and it also makes the pigment particles have charges of the same nature. The resulting repulsive effect and steric stability prevent the pigment from co flocculation, thus obtaining the color without floating and blooming in the system containing multiple pigments.
Because the particle size of the deflocculating pigment is small, it can obtain high gloss and improve color intensity. In addition, the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque pigments are also improved. Due to the reduction of viscosity, the flowability is improved, and the addition amount of pigment can be increased.
Recommended use
VOK ®- Disper 2050 is applicable to medium and high polarity solvent based paint systems. It is recommended to be used for the production of resin containing and resin free pigment concentrates, and directly used for pigment grinding in the above systems.
Recommended dosage
The amount of additives (purchase form) is based on:
Inorganic pigment: 10-15%
Titanium dioxide: 3-5%
Organic pigment: 20-60%
Carbon black: 60-140%
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
In order to obtain good performance, additives must be added to the grinding material first, and then the pigment.
When it is used for grinding with resin, pre mix the resin and solvent components in the grinding material, then slowly add the auxiliary agent in the state of stirring, and then add the pigment.
For resin free grinding, premix the solvent components and additives in the grinding material with stirring, and then add pigments. High boiling point solvent shall be used in resin free pigment concentrate slurry to avoid drying of pigment concentrate slurry during storage. No matter which way of use, the pigment can only be added after the auxiliary agent has been completely dispersed.
