German technical background VOK ®- Disper 185 Wetting Dispersant
VOK ®- Disper 185 is a solvent free wetting and dispersing agent for solvent based and water-based industrial coatings and architectural coatings. It is especially suitable for water oil general pigment concentrated slurry without binary alcohol solvent.

Storage and transportation
At temperatures below 5 ° C, delamination or turbidity may occur. Heat to 20 ° C and mix thoroughly before use.
Special reminder
The additive contains 52% active substances and 48% polyethylene glycol.
Application field
Characteristics and advantages of coating industry and leather coating this additive can make pigment deflocculate through steric stabilization. Because the particle size of the deflocculating pigment is small, it can obtain high gloss and enhance color strength. In addition, the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque pigments are also improved. Due to the reduction of viscosity, the flowability is improved and the content of pigment can be increased.
Recommended use
VOK ®- Disper 185 contains no solvent, and is especially suitable for the production of solvent-free water oil universal color paste without alkyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether, which is used for water-based, solvent based and solvent-free coatings.
Recommended dosage
The amount of additives (purchase form) is based on:
Inorganic pigment 10-15%
Titanium dioxide 3-6%
Organic pigment 20-45%
Carbon black 60-80%
The above recommended dosage is for reference only, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
In order to obtain good performance, additives must be slowly added to the grinding resin/cosolvent mixture or shear stable lotion under stirring. Pigment can be added only after the auxiliary agent has been completely dispersed and uniform.
Special reminder
When used in water-based systems, a small part of the amine used to control the pH value can be added, because the auxiliary is alkaline.
Waterborne coatings may have the problem of storage stability, so it is recommended to evaluate the long-term storage stability of the entire system.
