VOK®-405 Liquid rheology agent for oil-based coatings to improve the efficacy of gas-silicon. It makes gas silicon more convenient to join, anti-delamination, stable and improves the rheological effect.

Delamination or turbidity may occur. Heat to 20-30°C and mix thoroughly, the product effect is not affected.

Features and benefits
VOK®-405 can act like a dispersant, making it easier to add gas-silicon. It is its rheological effect that stabilizes and improves. Under the same shear conditions, the effect is more pronounced in varnishes than in pigments.
It reduces and prevents the precipitation of pyrogenic silica in coatings. VOK®-405 is best suited for solventborne coating systems based on polyester, acrylic and alkyd containing pyrogenic silica. Fumed silica must be at least partially hydrophilic.
With the addition of VOK®-405, the binder will have better thixotropy and thixotropic resin systems will also exhibit better thixotropy.
