German technical background Vocker VOK® -SL 325 leveling agent
Silicone leveling agent with defoaming action. It improves the surface properties of solventborne coatings with a particular focus on leveling, causing only a slight decrease in surface tension. In contrast to most silicone additives, it does not stabilize the foam and therefore also contributes to defoaming. VOK- 325 increases surface slip and therefore improves scratch and abrasion resistance, preventing Benard fossa formation. If reapplied with the same paint, VOK-325 prevents "ghosting" (scratches) without causing loss of wetting and interlayer adhesion problems. In most solvent systems, VOK-SL 325 has proven to be more compatible than VOK-320, so it does not contain turbidity problems in the varnish layer, but reduces hagging.

Dosage: 0.05-0.5 % of total formulation dosage
