Application areas
Plastic system curing at room temperature
Product Features & Benefits VOK-SL® 330 is a highly effective silicone additive that significantly reduces surface tension. This improves the wetting of demanding substrates, e.g. molds treated with release agents. The additive also prevents the formation of craters or fisheyes, which is beneficial for atomizing spraying or powder coating.
Recommended Use
VOK- 330 is recommended for systems based on unsaturated polyester resins, e.g. gel coatings.
Recommended dosage
0.1-0.3% additive dosage (purchased form) is based on total formulation.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests.
Addition method and processing guidance
The additive can be added at any stage of the production process, including post-adding. The additive has proven to avoid foam stabilization when added at the final stage.
Special considerations
Compared to silicone fluids, this additive is easier to use. However, before use, a series of experiments should be carried out to confirm whether the additive will cause surface defects in some systems.
