Structures


Application
Vacuum is drawn in transformer tank with aid of transformer evacuation system to remove moisture and gases from insulation/oil. Alternately during the commissioning of the transformer, nitrogen is evacuated with the transformer evacuation system before new oil filling or oil alteration in transformers. Transformer evacuation is a wet process that necessitates proper moisture extraction before its entry into the vacuum pump.

ASSEN has designed an ASV series transformer vacuum pumping system that has efficient moisture condensers with adequate cooling areas that are placed in line with the vacuum pump. In case of non-availability of cold water circulation at the site, condensers are also provided with the facility of ice cups which aid to hold ice and improve the moisture condensation.
The transformer evacuation systems are robustly designed with vacuum pumps and booster pumps (ROOTS PUMP) to handle large volumes of moisture in transformers.
